The latter asked that representatives of the corporation should be present at the association’s conference opening here on January 28, so that the vexed question of price regulation might be discussed. Tho president, Mr Allum, said it should be permissible for trades to combine to fix prices in the interests of their industry, subject to investigation by the Board of Trade. It was decided to advise the assocation that the scope of the corporation did not embrace the question of price fixation, but- the corporation would be represented at the conference.
