PAPANUI SOCIAL CLUB.
The Papanui Social Club held a euchre and dance party in the Me morial Town Hall on Tuesdav. The decorations, which consisted ”of bells and streamers of the club’s colours supplied by Miss Tansy and pot plants lent by Mr Fletcher, made a pleasing background for the many pretty frocks worn. Hie music was supplied by Nuttail’s orchestra with extras bv Mr and Mrs Wood bridge. During the evening Master Baldwin Sang two songs which were much appreciated. The euchre prize winners were Messrs BUekmore and Fletcher, Mrs Cresswoll and Mrs Samuels. The other prise-winners were Mrs R. Miller and Mr J. TVillet. The committee consisted of Messrs Derrett, Moor, M’Connell. BurborOugh, Roberts, Sutherland, Ayrie Smallbone, Greenslade, C. Sisson and Mesdames Munro (heliotrope satin), Couper (navy blue frock). Barnard (black frock), Moore (black taffetas), Smith (peacock blue jersey SiJk), Langdon (eflu de nil sponge cloth), Blackmore (pale green frOck), Miller (henna jersey silk). Sterling (apricot silk). Roberts (saxe blue frock). Burrows _ (Shetland wool over lemon satin), Woodham (navy crepe do chine). Sutherland (navy fujiiene), Rickerby (black Satin). Neilson (black satin, lace overdress). Greenslade (black satin).
