SPAHLINGER’S SERUM.
USE ADVOCATED BY FRENCH DOCTOR.
“ABSOLUTELY CRIMINAL TO HINDER GENERAL ADOPTION.” By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.—Aus. and N.!5. Cable Assn. (Received December 6, 9.45 a.m.) LONDON, December 5. The Geneva correspondent of the “ Daily Express ” states that Dr Charles Gosset, a Professor of the University of Paris, who is recognised as one of the greatest surgeons in the world, pays the highest tribute to Dr Spahlinger’s serum. He gives details of a series of remarkable cures in cases of tuberculous bone glands, which are usually treated surgically, and in which tuberculous lesions are replaced by perfectly healthy tissue. He says that these are quite sufficient to prove the efficiency of the serum in cases of surgical tuberculosis. It would be absolutely criminal to hinder its general adoption. The Spahlinger serum, he says, must be used on a large scale in hospitals, where every doctor can observe the changes in the tuberculosis lesions, but it must he remembered that it takes Dr Spahlinger four years to prepare the serum, even if he gets efficient help.
