CRICKET.

Last Saturday the second round ol games in the Boys* Association competition was played, nine matches taking place at Hospital Corner, and one each at St Andrew and St. Bedes. The weather was ideal, and I lie wickets in good condition, although a little fast, this no doubt assisting tile tiie howlers to sonic degree. The highest individual «eoro was that of < . ATHLETICS.

’The second annual inter-secondary school ntfcletic championships were decided last week at St Bede's, when the senior chant pioirship was won by College with 1 po.inte. with St Andrew's runners-up with 13 points. The junior championship was won by High School, who scored 13 point-, College being the runners-up with (»£. The bportß w ere excellent ly handled, only cot - petitory and officials being allowed inside tho enclosure. The St Bede's authorities a'n'd I'ilir'tri’Tiivp their ground in such fine condition. The ground was v.d! marked out. and llie hurdles, with solid bases anti loose bars, again proved very successful. The 100 yards races should have been run in tapes, for iu both championships more than one boy was blocked. With twelve men two from each school starting in a 100 yards event, there is a vvrv big chance of a runner crossing in front of others, and not 0n1.% qualified Vimseir.
