A LEADER PASSES.

FUNERAL OF MR BONAR LAW. By Telegraph—Preeß Association—Copyright .Reuter's Telegrams. (Received November 6, 1.35 p.m.) LONDON, November 5. Large crowds testified the public sympathy at Mr Bonar Law’s funeral. A short service was held first at St C olumba’s Ohurch of Scotland, of which Mr Bonar Law was a member. Ihe coffin was placed on a catafalque at the head of the church, covered by a Union Jack and numerous wreaths. The senders including Ministers of the Cabinet, the French Government, Dominion representatives and Mr Lloyd George. The cortege then motored to Westminster Abbey. The pall-bearers were the Prince of Wales, Mr Baldwin, Mr Balfour, Mr Chamberlain, the Speaker, Mr Asquith. Lord Carson, Lord Beaverbrook, Lord Fitzalan and Mr Ramsay Macdonald, who escorted the coffin over the la'st part of the route. There was a distinguished assembly in the Abbey, including the overseas premiers. The cosn was covered with a gold embroidered pall and was carried up the steps to the altar in solemn procession, the choir chanting the burial service. They then sang “The Strife is Over,” after which the coffin was taken in procession to the graveside, whereon, it was covered with a purple carpet striped with white. A beautiful copper urn containing the ashes of the coffin was lowered into the grave with the words “ ashes to ashes, clust to dust.’”' Kipling’s “Recessional” and. the “Funeral March” by Chopin concluded the service.
