CROSSING THE CONWAY.
HORSES TO BE USED. Mr J- S. Hawkes received word to day from the Central Dairy Company, which" uses the Kaikoura road daily, that in view of the difficulties of crossing the Conway River, where tlie bridge was washed away, it had decided to place a team of three horses permanent ly at the ford, and they would be avail able for motorists.
