ORIGINAL POEM, subject “ A Canterbury Summer.” First prize £3. second prize £‘2. 3. CHILDREN’S POEM, anv subject, open to children under 14. First prize £1 Is. second prize 15s. 4. PHOTOGRAPHIC STUDIES relating to Canterbury. Subjects maybe chosen from the seaside (yachting, boating or bathing). the' Avon, the Port Hills, the farming districts or the mountains. The prints must lie suitable for reproduction and not lees than postcard size. Prizes £2 10s, £2, £t 10s, £l. Others accepted for reproduction 7s 6d each. 5. BEAUTY COMPETITION. Original Photographic Portrait Study of Pretty Canterbury or ‘Westland Girl. Must- be posed, and printed by amateurs. The name and address of the subject of the portrait study must be given. Prizes £3 3s each to winning photographer and lady, £2 2s each to second photographer and lady, and £1 Is each to third photographer and lady, j The awards in all competitions will j be made by the Editor of the “ Star ” whose decision will be final.
