CALEDONIAN PIPE BAND’S DANCE.
The Canterbury Caledonian Society’s Pipe Band held a carnival dance at the Caledonian Hail last evening. About IwO couples danced to the music supplied by Nurtall’s Orchestra. The prize for best fancy dress was won by Mr S. MacDougall (Electric Lamp Shade); most original, Mrs Gibbons (Merry-go-round); best dressed gentleman, Mr Sydney "W ilbrahams (Black Prince): most original gentleman. Mr E. Ritchie (Two-faced). Amongst those present were Mrs Wislang (Maypole). Miss Mulhern (Confetti), Miss B. M'Duff (Folly). Miss Rosendale (Jabber-w a kie), Miss Blov (Jabberwakiei, Miss G. Chapman (Egyptian Lady), Mrs Man.son (Gipsy). Miss Keemer (Carnival). Miss Brightmore (Pierrette). Miss Hayes (Folly), Miss A. Jones (Illuminated Chinese I.ani torn), Miss Aslibey (Pierrette), Mrs ! Gibbons (Merry-go-round). Miss T>. ; Irvine (Dutch Girl). Miss Peddie (Eastern Lady). Miss K. White (Carmen), Miss Mav Neate (Irish Colleen). Miss Petal lick (“ The Star”), Miss I. Bell (Jewels).
