The death of Mr Arthur Peter Pender, son of the lato Police Inspector Pender, and a prominent Rugby football player in Wellington, occurred at his residence, Rugby Street, "Wellington. on Thursday. The lato Mr Arthur Pender was well known as a member of the Ponoke Club. He leaves a widow and two daughters. The funeral, which took place on Friday afternoon, was attended by many old friends of the family, and by Rugby players, past and present. A funeral service was held at St. Joseph’s Church.
