PUSH BIKE BOOM.

TRAM FARES BEING SAVED. Jn an interview with a “ Star” representative Mr A. Ci. Britten, the proprietor of the Butler Cycle Works, 600, Colombo Street, endorsed the statements made in an article in this paper last- Saturday m reference to the Push Bike Boom due to the result of the high tram fares. Mr Britten pointed out that to-day it was immeasurably cheaper to buy a bicycle than to use the trams particularly in view of the Easy Time Payments allowed by the Butler Cycle Works for both new and second-hand machines and particularly in view of the fart that a new English Machine can now he secured from the Butler Cycle Works for only ten guineas. There was not only the question of cost said Mr Britten there was also the greater convenience obtainable by possessing a bicycle which meant that one could go anywhere at any time without being tied down to a timetable. 71il
