The Hon V. Nosworthy, Minisber for Agriculture, at present in Ashburton. intends returning to Wellingj The Hon C. J. Parr. Minister of i Education, arrived from the north yesterday. This morning he received j a number of deputations and during j lhe day he visited Oxford to inquire : into the proposed consolidation ot ! schools scheme in that •district. Air ! Parr will leave for the south to-mor-j row morning. lie proposes to go as j far as Fairlic. Mr James Jamieson. ol Christ* church, while staying at The Lodge, Ran liter, was taken ill on Saturday morning. He* was attended by Or Fife Slater, of Sumner, who was a guest at The Lodge. It was deemed advisable to remove Mr Jamieson to the hospital, and to summon his daughters. Mr Jamieson was. howand apparently in no immediate da ngcr.
