The Hon Nathaniel Rothschild, a brother of Lord Rothschild, was found with his throat cut in the bathroom of his country home at Aston Wold. At the- inquest, Dr Turner said that he received an urgent message from Mrs Rothschild and went to the bathroom, but found the door locked on the inside. He summoned assistance and they forced the door. They discovered deceased lying, dressed in his pyjamas, with his throat cut and a razor was on the table nearby. Witness knew of no reason why deceased should commit suicide. He was always happy and cheerful. Miss Kate Jordan, curator of the Rothschild private museum, said that she came to Aston Wold on Wednesday to see him on a scientific matter, and found lym depressed. ' Deceased frequently exclaimed. “ T am going mad,’’ and spoke of hearing voices. She understood that there had been in sanity in the family. The ‘‘Sunday Express” says that deceased inherited the bulk of his father’s fortune of several millions, as well as an interest in the firm. He practically rebuilt the village of Aston Wold in the interests of tlie tenants.
