ST GEORGE’S MARKET.
The very gratifying sum of £1163 4s 5d was raised g.s a result of the St George’s Market held in the Art Gallery last week in aid of the Church of England Hospital fund. The following is a list of the various stalls and the amounts realised by each: —Variety stall, £22 15s 3d: sweets stall, £4O los lid, china and antique stall, £6l 12s 4d; cake stall, £B6 7s 2d; hat stall. £l3B 10s 3d; Calsonian emporium, £l4B 11s 3d: refreshments stall. £sl 7s lid; doll stall. £l4 2s; children's clothing stall, £32; toy stall, £2l 7s lOd; balloon stall, £7 12s 4d; men's stall, £37 4s 4d; children’s corner, £l6 Ss 4d; handkerchief stall, £2O Is: pot-pourri sail. £l4ss 1 Id; book stall, £22 10s Id; nurses’ stall, £52 10s 9d; flower stall £57 17s 4d; bag stall, £3l 15s Sd: chocolate throw. £ls 10s lid; hoop-la, £l6 19s 8d; Riecarton stall, £139 3s Id; Burwood Girls’ Friendly Society, £l7; tickets, door, etc., £BB 3s Sd.
