A £2OO PHONOGRAPH.

J. his magnificent Edison Instrument w-as rec.ent.lv purchased by Jir W. Cloggie and now adorns the drawing-room of his beautiful home in Edgeware Road- The Phonograph proper, known as the Official Laboratory Model, is encased in an XVIII. Century English Cabinet, to the design of the Adam Brothers, the Premier Architects and Decorators of the period. The cabinet reflects all the delicate characteristics of Roman and classic Italian art, so noteworthy in the work of these Brothers. Hand-painted throughout, the motifs of the decorations include Greek and Roman vases, acanthus leaves flowers and Wedgewood ovals. Two similar instruments are arriving to the order of Christchurch residents, and on their arrival demonstrations will be given by the local agents.
