ACCIDENTS AT WAIMATE.

Per Press Association*. AY AIM ATE, October 12. There lias been a chapter of accidents at Waimate, one being fatal. Joseph Sturgess, single, aged about thirty-fouf, was engaged with another man felling blucgums at E. R. Kingsbury’s farm, Willowb ridge, yesterday afternoon. As a tree fell it broke a branch from another tree. The branch struck Sturgess on the head and ho died five minutes later. William Pauli, a farm hand at lledoliff, was kicked by a horse last evening. breaking his collarbone. Andrew Weir while cutting trees at Wainono this morning, cut his foot with an axe He was admitted to hospital.
