BLENHEIM PREMISES GUTTED. Felb Fkess Association. BLENHEIM. October 12. A fire at the Farmers’ Co-op. building last night, caused considerable damage. An employee was effecting repairs to a. big motor truck in a. garage at the rear of the premises. The benzine became ignited and the building was soon wrapped in flames. The fire spread to the grocery bulk store and hardware and oil store. The brigade were hampered by the breakdown of the borough water service., -which is not yet completed. All three departments were completely gutted, the loss including the.motor truck. Insurances are be tween £2OOO and £3OOO. with £I4OO on the stock, £3OO on the buildings and corrugated iron sheds in the Farmers’ Co-op. Insurance Association.
