Brown and Rasmussen, costs only; George Barrell v. _\l. Bayier, £2 ; F. E. Longdin v. A. Webb, £1 19s; H. O’Connor v. Cecil Ward, costs only: Rink Taxis. Ltd. v. L. Kelly, £5 10s; Henry J. Marriner v. E. Vogel, £2 7s 8d; J. Sutherland and Son v. J. D. M’Oallum, £2 2s 6d; Bosth. Macdonald and Co.. Ltd. v. D. A. Dutton, £57 12s 7d. CONTESTED CASES. Robert Smith, of 15, Gibbon Street, Sydenham (.Mr J. K. Cuningham) proceeded against Allan Black, of 15. Mace’s Road, Bromley (Air AV. F. Tracy) for £lO. The statement set out that Black was a weekly tenant of plaintiff's house at Bromley and was in arrears in the rent. Plaintiff also claimed possession. Black applied under the War Legislation Amendment Act to have the standard rent fixed. After hearing the evidence Hie Magistrate non-suited Smith and the rent was fixed at 13s a week. It was shown that the value of the house was £4OO.
