•it eignan Gets Stories From Leading Writers m TTfAMOUS authors are now proriding the stories which Thomas Meighan is making into Paramount pictures. Rex Beach is the latest to furnish a story for the screen actor. It is "The Ne'er Do Well,” the scenes of which are laid in Panama. In making this picture it was necessary for Mr. Meighan and a company of Paramount players to spend six weeks in the Isthmian Republic. They returned recently to complete the picture in the Long Island Studio. “The Ne’er Do Well” is the third Etory by a famous author in which Mr. Meighan has appeared recently. The two previous ones. “Our Leading Citizen” and “Back Home and Broke.” were by George Ade. A fourth, by Booth Tarkingtcn, is to be started soon.
