KERSIE SENT TO GAOL. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, May 4. John Kersie has been sentenced to three years’ imprisonment. John Kersie. of Liverpool. was charged with inciting a man named Connolly to murder Mrs Kersie, in order to secure her newspaper insurance money. Kersie elaborated a plan whereby Connolly, attired in a white sheet, should suddenly appear before the woman and, while she was in a state of terror, push her over/the stair bannisters. If this did not. break her neck Connolly was to finish her off with a hammer. Connolly was to receive £IOO for the job. He apparently agreed to the terms, hut unfolded the plot to Mrs Kersie. who informed the police.
