DR SPAHLINGER’S CURE.

DISCOVERER ALMOST PENNILESS. ; Bjf Telagrsph—rr«*j» Association—Copy»i*bl I Ausiriiliaii and N.;'.. On‘.so Association. LONDON, May 3. i Dr Mac Eddie, writing in the “Lan- ! cet.” says:— “ I have been in a Swiss I sanatorium, investigating Dr Spahlinj ger’s treatment for tuberculosis on behalf of the Victorian Government. I j then spent some days in Dr Spahlinger’s wonderful laboratory and experimental farm at Geneva, constantly examining his patients. I feel sure that, any further evidence will only confirm me in report ing t* my Government that Dr Spahlinger’s vaccine serum treatment stands by itself. The medical profession should lose no time in taking a definite stand in this matter. But the production of the remedies is almost at a standstill. Dr Spahlinger and his family are almost penniless, having spent all they possessed in their sell-imposed search for anti-tubercu-losis vaccines. Dr Spahlinger loathes publicity. He lives in an atmosphere

of patient, cheery altruism. He lias had repeated offers from firms to commercialise his works, offers which would long ago have resulted in retrieving his family’s fortunes. The long strain of work, and the debt-car-rying, is beginning to tell on Dr Spahfinger. There are the makings of a tragedy here.’’
