THE BRITISH POSTMASTER.

SIR WILLIAM JOYNSON-HICKS, the new Postmaster-General in the British Cabinet, was formerly Parliamentary Secretary for overseas trade. He has had a busy life, and has given much time to aviation aud road transport and motoring which is his foremost recreation. A strong Church worker he has been associated with the Y.W.C.A. and Zenana Mission, and he has published many pamphlets on temperance. He is a solicitor by profession, and is in his 59th year.
