(Received May 2, 10. 50 a.m.) SYDNEY, May 2The committee in charge of the Hickson Mission at Grafton, states that 139 cases are reported to- have been cured or definitely relieved. They carefully investigated and found them genuine. Others might be described as improved, but it was too early to speak definitely. It is claimed that the cures include lame crippled, semi-blind and various chronic diseases. A crippled man aged ninety-five is now able to walk. Several thousand are undergoing treatment at Newcastle. Among the claimed cures are a deaf and dumb man and woman. Two paralytics have abandoned their crutches. Bishops and clergy intend to continue Mr Hickson’s methods after his departure. in the hope of sustaining the revived faith in spiritual healing. Mr Hickson will visit New Zealand at the end of his Australian tour.
