Housewives throughout the country are organising a. boycott for flhe purpose of lowering the price of sugar, which is now being retailed from ten to twelve cents a pound. Various women’s clubs and organisations in New York, Washington. Chicago, Buffalo*, and other principal cities are conducting a series of mass meetings and house-to-house canvass in an effort to persuade housekeepers to refrain from buying until sugar is cheaper.
