Correspondence was received from the New Zealand Council in reference to the suspension oi the officials of the Otago Boxing Association. The secretary of the St, Zealand . A letter was received from the North Canterbury Association applying for a permit for their competitions on May !2 The application was granted under the jurisdiction of the club and Mr <i. Bileliff MmßV# r 8- Draper and D. Sheffield judges, and P O. f’rooke as time keeper, were appointed to assist at th - tournament. A. Leckie, of Dunedin, wrote stating that J. Leckie. fly-weight. T. Griffiths, bantam R. Fulcher and W. Leokie. feather and J. Paul, light-weight, would be available at any of the club's competitions. The correspondence was referred to the competitions committee. A. Lewis. of Wellington, wrote askiu j for a. match against either H. Gunn. C. Cann. or M. Flynn, or any feather-weight in New Zealand. The letter wan referred to the compe titions committee to act. J. Grift'en forwarded an application t< meet any light-weight, in the- Dominion am bating that he was prepared to meet J Murray, for ‘.he championship. The letter wa« referred to the compel tione committee, as was an application re c«ive.d on behalf of J. Taylor, to meet A Schmanski, for professional contest Tt was decided to make application f the New Zealand Council for parricidal in reference to the formation of the < onterbnry Centre Association The Competitions Committee recon. men dec that the novices' competition should h» hold on or about June 15.
