In no item of one’s evening toilette can novelty more easily be introduced than in the handbag, which is now so important that it is actually part >f The girl who goes to many dances should have a bag to match each frock. Tor instance, with an ingenue frock o f shell-pink georgette, there is a large pink satin rose, held with a little strap or. the centre finger of the left hand, and concealing beneath its petals atiuv purse for powder puff and minute hand kerchief. With a black hue or satin dance frock, brilliant colouring in a handbag is desirable. On*a dark ground there arc round silk roses of brilliant coloured ribbons with tiny birds’ feathers fo - foliage. The girl-who is clever with her fingers and has a sense of colour could easilv make such a bag herself, and it will add immense chic to her appearance in the ballroom.
