SOLAR OBSERVATORY.
MOUNT STROMLO PLAN. By Telegraph—Press Association—Convrierht Australian and N.Z. Csbla Association. (Received April IS, 11.40 a.m.) MELBOURNE, April 18. Senator Pearce has announced that the Federal Government is establishing « solar observatory on Mount Stromlo. i-i Federal territory. This will complete a chain of similar observatories encircling the globe. Among other advantages, it will ensure a more accurate and longer range of weather forecasts.
