MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
NOMINATIONS RECEIVED. The following additional nomination* have been received in connection with the City Council and local body elections : COUNCIL. Messrs J. E. Coopei. J. Anderson, C. P. Agar. It is expected that Labour candidates I for the council, hospital board and harI hour board will be nominated this af- ' ternoon. THE ROLL The total number of enrolments for i the municipal elections is 33,682. The | main roll closed on .January 31, with ! 26,860 names, and the supplementary ! roll on April 5. with 6778 names. There are tliirty-five nominations for fifteen seate on the council. DUNEDIN. (Pbk Press Association - .) DUNEDIN, April 16. There are. three candidates for the City Mayoralty, Councillors Tapley, Larnach and Hayward. There is no Labour nominee. , There were twenty-five nomination* for twelve councillors’ seat*. Of these six are Labour can di-da tea. One woman, Mrs Leech, stands as an Independent. HAMILTON. (Pee Pkess Association.) HAMILTON, April 16. Mr J. R. Foav, the sitting Mayor, in the only nomination for the Mayoralty. NELSON MAYORALTY. (Per Press Association.) NELSON, April 16. Mr W. Lock was returned unopposed for the Nelson Mayoralty. MASTERTON. (Per. Press Association.) MASTERTON, April 16. Mr O. PragnelJ has been re-elected unopposed as Mayor.
