Bishop of Goulburn, in his presidential address to the Goulbuni Anglican Synod, said:— f ‘ Anglican bishops have revised the marriage and divorce regulations of 1902, to the effect that permission must not be given to either party, guilty or innocent, to re-rnarry after a divorce, while one is living.” The Bishop explained that hitherto reference to the guilty party implied that the innocent party could obtain permission.
