SIR MAUI POMARE’S ADVICE. (Pick Press Association.) WELLINGTON, April 11. “ The more intelligent members of the Maori race should get together ami wipe out the religious fanatics and put an end to the theatrical outbursts which are doing the race no good, said Sir Maui Pom are at Pet-one. Sir Maui was accorded a reception by a number of his supporters, whom lie thanked for their renewal of confidence. He then proceeded to deal with the petition that- bad been lodged against his return to Parliament. He was very sorry, he said, that the other side had not been able to a licking like sports. Sir Maui then made an appeal to the more intelligent members of the race. He said he did not desire his audience to accept it in its literal sense as an appeal to wipe out religious fanatics, but in the interests of the Maori race the influence of fanatics should certainly be curbed.
