According to the "Daily Express's • Aberdeen correspondent, hundreds ■>; fishermen’s wives Jed the strikers against the German trawlers in * fierce Sight in an attempt to prevent the porters from handling German fish. The women seized policemen by the collars of their tunics and dragged them from their husbands and brothers. Thev also hurled .jars of crockery from tin • windows. One policeman was removed in an ambulance. RIOTOUS SCENES. LONDON. April 5. Riotous scenes were repeated at Aberdeen arising out of the trawler* men’s strike in an attempt to stop the j landing of German caught fish. Many i street fights occurred, and the police' j charged the crowds, batons being used j and several being wounded. The German trawlers, nevertheless, j are marketing their catches, the public being refused admittance, to that portion oi the market. Several German trawlers have been stoned and the situation is serious. The Town Council has been asked _o intervene.
