AUSTRALIAN LADIES BEATEN. (Per Press Association'.) AUCKLAND. April 5. The Australian lady swimmers' compet ed in a 66 2-3yds handicap to-night. Mias Puuliue Hoeft beat Misa Mina Wylie in the heat hy two yards. Miss Venn inf failed to gain a place in her heat. The New Zealand sprint eliumpions. Mis- Violet Walrond was also unplaced.
