SIR WILLIAM BIRD’S BILL. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received March 10, 8.55 a.m.) LONDON. March 9. Sir William Bird’s Bill to amend the Merchandise Marks Act prohibits the importation of moat, unless it is indelibly marked with the name of the country of origin, or bears the word “ imported.” The import of eggs »s banned unless each egg is marked. Packages containing fruit, poultry or dairy produce must also be marked.
