Lord Leverhulme. replying to the •eeretary of the Gaelic Society. declined to delete “ the Western Isles” from liis title. He added that letters he had received from representatives of three-quarters of the Western Isles indicated that the deletion would give greater offence there than satisfaction to those who wanted them removed.
