A stronger effort than over before is to l»o made to elect party candidates to Mayoral office. City Councils, Hospital and Harbour Boards. Not the least interesting of these contests will be an attempt to secure full representation on Harbour Boards in all .ports of the Dominion. Harbour Board administration is a | matter in which waterside workers are \ interested as well as others, and at the January conference of the New Zealand Waterside Workers’ Federation. the question of representation on various boards was discussed, a resolution finally being passed authorising the federation to take steps to capture all the boards in the country.
