BUTTER AND CHEESE. THE FEBRUARY FIGURES. (Per Press AssoctattowA WELLINGTON. March 7. The figure? of Ibe Dairy division of the Agricultural Department show that tho salted butter graded for February. 1928. was 140.593 cwt. and unsalted 10.341 cwt. compared with the total of 103.790 cwt for February la.?t year. This is an mcreJPfce of 345.42 per cent. For seven month? ended February. 1923. the respective quantities were 982,451 cwt and 66,042 cwt compared with a total of 737,781 cwt. an increase of 42.11 pet cent. The cheese graded for February. 1923. comprised -. White 110,468 cwt. coloured 59.252 cwt. compared with 176,357 cwt for February. 1923. a decrease of 3.76 per cent. The totals for 'he seven month? ended February. 1923. were, white 536.555 cwt. aud coloured 298,17 cwt. compared with 892.91 cwt. a decrease of 6.51 per cent. Converting these figure? into butter fat equivalent, there i? an increase of 24.68 per cent in the butter fat production for the seven months, a? compared with a corresponding period for 1921 to 1922. worn, SALE AT HOME.
