FIERCE ATTACKS IN DUBLIN. By Telegraph—Press Assoo/^*ion —Copyright Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, January 17. Irish rebels piled a motor lorry with grey blankets in which rebels, armed v itii rifles, were hidden. W hen the lorry readied College Green, the barieis of rifles appeared from the blankets and iinug commenced* \V omen shrieked, and, following the example of the men, threw themselves on their laces in the streets. In the meantime the motor-driver went at full speed down Grafton Street and other parts of the city. The Free Staters replied to the rifle and bomb fire with rifles anti revolvers. Several civilians were wounded, and at least one woman was killed. The rebels delivered three other attacks in Dublin, including one on the ‘lreeman’s Journal” office, the Bioadston railway station, and the l ortobello barracks. Thousands of people who were leaving the theatres and Kinema Were endangered. f ree State soldiers were wounded, also a priest and other civilians.
