PROVE ALL THINGS.
To win a wager, an English marquis stood on London Bridge and offered sovereigns for five shillings. He could not find a customer. It’s not to be wondered at. The public look askance at any proposition when the person is apparently the financial loser without ’ direct or indirect gain. Fraudulent schemes have often been successful, bub in these days sceptics want better proof than the word of a marquis. No evidence can bo stronger than testimony such as this -. Mr S. W. Mitchell, tobacconist and hairdresser, London Street, Lyttelton, says: “Doan’s Backache Kidney Pills, having cured me of backache and rheumatism, from which I had suffered for years, it is with every confidence I recommend this remedy to all kidney sufferers. Before I took these pills the pains in my back were awful, and I was often so bad that I had t-o lie up or weeks at a stretch, and every movement increased the pain. Besides backache and rheumatism, I was subject to dizzy feelings and my feet swelled considerably. The kidney secretions were also affected. Hearing good reports of Doan’s Backache Kidney Pills led me to try this remedy, and I am delighted I did, for nine bottles of these famous Pills cured me. Three years have elapsed since my cure was effected, and I have been in good health ever since. I always keep Doan’s Backache Kidney Pills in the house.” Mr Mitchell confirms his previous statement six years later: “ I am still a great believer in Doan’s Backache Kidney Pills. I always keep them by me, and take a dose now and again, just as a preventative against any return of my old complaint*. 1 ' Doan’s Backache Kidney Pills are sold by all chemists and storekeepers at 3s per bottle, or will be posted on receipt of price by Foster-M’Olellan Co., • 5 Hamilton Street, Sydney. But, be sure you get DOAN’S. 10
