Owing to Professor Robson’s assassination, V iscount Allenby, High Comini-j fciner for Egypt, has informed the Egyptian Government that there can be no abolition of martial law while surh outrages continue. The British < avalry is again patrolling the streets. The Government hat- promised generous compensation to Proiessor Robson's widow. The amount of the rompen sar.ion will be fixed by A iscount Allenby himself. JL previous message stated :—Three men in a motor-car shot Professor William Robson, of the Roval Law School Another Englishman who was riding on e motor cvcie nearby was fired on. and had a narrow escape No arrests have been made There is no clue in regard to the identity of the murderers.
