Captain Looney has transferred from the Paloona to tiie Moeraki, and Captain tliltou has transferred from tiie Kaimauawa to the Paloona The Paloona was dispatched last evening tor uunodlu, where she will be withdrawn from the intercolonial service and replaced by the Moeraki, whioh leaves Wellington for Melbourne on December 29. On Monday the Rerauera sailed from Southampton for Auckland and Port Chalmers, via Colon anu Panama. She uas on board for New Zealand 494 passenger a, and is expected at Auckland about January 23. The Remuera is making her lirst trip under luel oil, and it is anticipated that she will make a smart postage out. For five months the steamer has been out of commission, undergoing repairs to damage caused by a collision in the English Channel on July 21 with the Ellerinau liner Marengo, when she was en route from London to Auckland. As a result of that collision the Remuera was damaged in three holds, and when she limped into Portland under her own steam and landed her passengers it was found that she liod been holed on the starboard side below the water-line, one hold being filled with water. The Marengo also Buffered considerable damage, but was able to proceed to Hull. The Dorset, according to cabled information received by tbe Now Zealand Shipping Company, arrived at Las Palmas on December 16, and continued on her voyage from Auckland to London later the same day. She left the northern port on November 2. The Bimutaka is to sail from Wellington at noon on December 80 for Southampton and London, via Panama. NEW ZEALAND SHIPPING COMPANY'S LINE.
