DANCE AT SUMNER.

In spite of the warm weather e large number of dancers attended the fauoy dress dance held at Sumner ou Thursday, the proceeds of which went to the Sumner Tennis Club. The hall was decorated with streamer# of orange paper and roitois and flax, the many attractive fancy costumes worn. all helping to add a general air of brightness to th© scene. Sutherland’s J tuza Band provided the music, and a dainty supper was given by the ladies. Amongst those present were: Aleedarnes Marriner, Smythe, de Pass. N. Barlow (Japanese Lady).
