Lord NortJibourne has given a prime bullock for distribution among the poor of Sandwich in celebration of Mr Lloyd George’s retirement. Lord North bourne promised to roast an ox when Air Lloyd George was deeated. but says that he fears that if he did so now there might be a riot. Mr Lloyd George’s attitude towards agriculture, in Lord Northbourne’s opinion, was rather like that of the spider to the fly. The second Baron Northbourne is the owner of 6700 acres and is a keen agriculturist. He was a Liberal member of Parliament from 1874-1893.
