THE EXHIBITION .AND ITS LESSONS. EXTENSION OF CLOSING DATE. An extension of the closing date of the “ Star ” school essay competition has been decided on, owing to the fact that many scholars have not yet visited the exhibition. The competition will close on December 31. Thirteen prizes will be given by the “ Star ” for the best essays submitted by primary' and secondary school pupils on “ The Exhibition and its Lessons.” Essays must not exceed 500 words. Competitors may deal with the subject as they choose, but the object of the promoters of the Exhibition should not be lost sight of. Prizes of £3, £2. and £l. and ten prizes each of 10s, will be given for the best essays. Competitors should address their essays t-o the Editor of <c The Star.” giving their names in full, and school attended.
