DE VALERA AT MASS.

LONDON. December 18. De Valera attended mass at the fash mable University Church a.t Stephen’s rreen, Dublin, yesterday. He was reognised by those near him, but only

three dared to leave mass and warn headquarters. Free State troops arrived just after the congregation had poured out, but de Valera had escaped in the crowd. It is generally believed that de Valera has been deposed from the cliiefship of the Republicans.
