FERRY BOATS FOR HOLIDAYS. The Wahine and the Maori w ill continue running in the Lyttclton-Welling-ton ferry service during the holiday season. No extra vessels will be put on. as it is considered that present arrangements will fully cope with the traffic. The Christchurch manager of the I'nion Steam Ship Company stale? that the \Vjiikouaiti and the Kaimnnawa will he- laid up at Lyttelton during the holidays, owing to the shortage of roal on the West. Coast. The mines, as usual, will be closed until after the New' Year.
