SELWYN. MALVERN AND TAWERA. The residents of Selwvn. Malvern and Tawera counties will be gla/i to learn that virtually all the preliminary arrangements in connection with the projKjsed establishment of a power board for those counties are now completed. The petition, which sets out the boundaries of the district and other statutory information which has to be signed by no less than 25 per cent of the ratepayers in each constituent, district, will be ready for signing early in the New Year It is the intention of the chairman (Mr G. H. Judd) to arrange public meetings throughout the districts concerned, for the purpose of placing the whole case prominently before the ratepayers before asking them to sign.
