SWIMMING.
LINCOLN COLLEGE SPORTS. The annual sports of the Lincoln College Swimming Club were held in the club’s j bath at the College on Saturday, under very favourable -svealther conditions and in the presence of a number of friends of members. The officials carried opt their duties in a very efficient manner and the arrangements ran very smoothly through--1 out the afternoon. The various events I were keenly contested and some very close j finishes resulted, particularly -between two i competitors for the championship cup—J. Orchard and B. N. Thomas. The cup, ? which is given for the most points in : championship events, was won by Thomas, with Orchard a close second. favourable comment was passed on the state of the bath and on the recent addition to the facilities, in the shape of a high dive, for the erection of which the club is greatly indebted to Air A. W. Hudson. Tea was dispensed (luring the afternoon. The officials were:—Judges, Messrs It. K. Alexander and A. A. Johnson; starter. Mr M. J. .Scott; check starter. Mi* N. P. Neal; starter's steward, Mr It. 11. Berin; timekeepers, Messrs T. Duncan and M. J. Scott; recorder, Mr B. E. Hamilton; diving judges, Messrs M. J. Scott. T. Duncan and A. W. Hudson.
