DALGETY AND CO.’S REPORT. Messrs Dalgety and Co.. Ltd., have received from their London office, dated December 15, advice that the wool sales closed active with competition brisk and buying general from all quarters. As compared with last wool sales closing rates, merino woolh, the change in price, if any. is in favour of buyers. Good to super half-bred are Id to 3d higher, low to medium half-bred id to Iff higher; fine an i medium quality crossbred, good to super, 2LI to 4d higher, low to medium lid to 24d higher; other descriptions of crossbred. good to super Id to 2d higher, low to medium id to Id higher. Lamb’s wool was Id to 2d higher. The offerings were 81,000 bales Australian, GO.OOO bales New Zealand, 1500 bales (Jap© and 7000 balee South America. 8.A.W.R..A. offered 44.500 bales Australian and 16,500 baleß New Zealand. Of the quantity ottered, 200.000 bales of colonial and 8000 bales of others were sold, of which th© Continent took 64,000 bales and America 20,000 bales. The quantity carried forward to next sales was 14.500 bales. The following is the range of prices realised:—Merino, good to super 24d to 27d, low to medium 19gd to 22d: half-bred (5658’s), rood to super 21d to 26d. low to medium IRid to 19 id: half-bred (50-56’s). good to super 19d to 21 d, low to medium | ]6d to 18d; half-bred (48-50’s). good to super led to 18id, low to medium 14d to 15id; fine cross-bred (46-4 S s), good to super ltd to 17d. low to medium 10id to 134*1; cross-bred (44-46’b), good to super lljd to 14d, low to medium 9d to lid; cross-bred (40-44'?', good to super 83d to lOd, low to medium 8d to Bid ; coarse cross-bred, super 83d, medium to good 7d to 7jd per lb.
