A POSTAL INQUIRY.

(Pf.r Press Association-.) A\ ELLTNGTON, December 19. At the postal inquiry to-day the evidence in the Springbok case, was concluded, and the Kennedy case was opened. Allegations were made against Kennedy by two women, and on one charge he was dismissed the service. Kennedy to-day said that he had had no opportunity of refuting the charges. The Department advisod him that -t had overwhelming evidence against him. and that he would he well advised to resign. On the second charge he was given no consideration before the inquiry. The woman's name was not given until he was formally charged. Ho endeavoured to show that the Department had gone out of its way to convict him, and declared that he had been prejudiced by the officials. The hearing is proceeding.
