WELLINGTON, December IS. The Queeuelavirl bowlers, who arrived today, were formally welcomed at the Town Hall, where a large and representative gathering assembled, and a civic reception was tendered. The Mayor and many councillors were present, and the Hon J. G. Coates represented the Government. Mr R. A. Wright, M.P. (Mayor), the Hon J. G. Coates and Mr Meadowcroft (president of the Wellington Centre) extended a hearty welcome to the vistors. Mr Archibald (president of the Queensland bowlers) expressed appreciation at the cordial nature of the reception accorded them. Two years ago. he said, he had the pleasure of welcoming a team of New Zealand bowlers, who had extracted, from him a promise that during Christmas, 1f22. he would bring a Queensland team to New Zealand. He was glad to redeem that promise. Tie had brought a fine lot of bowlers, and a champion lot of ladies for sight-seeing. \ Further welcomes will be extended tho
