Lord Marcus do la Poer Beresford, K.C.V.0.. was born on Christmas Day. ISIS. Ho was a son of the fourth Marquis of Waterford, and was married in 1805 to the eldest daughter of Major-General C. W. Ridley. He was Extra Equerry and Manager of his Majesty’s thoroughbreds. He was A.D.C. to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland from 1874 till 1876. lie was starter for the London Jockey Clu> from 1885 till 1890. He managed tho Sandringham Stud, and was a member of the Royal Victorian Order.
